The TMAC Nurse Educator (NE) will provide educational, clinical in-services and product training at the regional and local level to successfully create awareness, uptake and demand for our Client's cardiac care / congestive heart failure device.
Purpose of this Position:
The Nurse Educator (NE) is a field-based healthcare professional, who is responsible for training, educational support and product awareness to Client targeted Healthcare Professionals (physicians, nurses, Director of Nursing) and other healthcare professional staff. This role helps the customer understand the optimal and appropriate placement of TMACâs Client Company products. Initiatives for the NE will be consistent with the objectives of the Therapeutic Area, Brand Team, Skill Center and Sales Organization.
Primary Nurse Educator Function:
- Identify and conduct outreach to key HCPs (Interventional Cardiologists and Nursing staff) in the ICU, CCU, MICU, step-down units and out-patient clinics. to build and strengthen relationships and represent Clientâs interests.
- Facilitate discussions on assessing, treating and managing patients with fluid overload due to congestive heart failure via educational programs for healthcare professional staff (i.e. doctors, nurses, Directors of Nursing) and other key healthcare staff through1:1 presentations, round table discussions, and formal presentations and training.
- Integrate as needed with capital sales professionals, CLs and MSLs (once deployed) to identify and work within targeted practices.
- Respond to customer inquiries to ensure relevant and appropriate information is provided in response to area of interest.
- Continually monitor the medical environment to sustain expertise in disease state management (CHF), Client new therapies, competitive products and features; assess implications on behalf of Client. Maintain clinical and technical expertise in relevant therapeutic areas by reviewing scientific journals and participating in educational/training programs.
- Bachelor's Degree Required. Advanced Practice Nurse preferred (e.g. MSN, NP)
- Current nursing license in good standing
- 3-5 years clinical nurse experience required
- Previous medical device/pharmaceutical industry Nurse Educator experience preferred
- A working knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements is needed
- Understanding of cardiology/heart failure, Peripheral or Central Venous Access, catheters, and anti-coagulation treatments
