Provides leadership and support to the imaging nursing staff, coordinates the allocation of resources and imaging staff, supports a positive professional working environment
QUALIFICATIONS: Current Arizona Registered Professional Nurse license, BLS and ACLS required. Minimum 2 years critical care experience. Demonstrates client Behavioral Expectations. IR EXPERIENCE STRONGLY PREFERRED!
EDUCATION: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred. Meets, or exceeds, unit specific education requirements.
JOB DUTIES:
1. The Imaging Nurse Manager provides leadership in assuring compliance with all State and Federal regulations, as well as NIAHO Standards
2. Maintain oversight and direction for all of the imaging nursing staff
3. The Imaging Nurse Manager is responsible for patient flow and staffing to meet case types.
4. Assists the Dire! ctor in the strategic planning, organizing and daily supervisi! on.
5. Assists the Director in the preparation and management of the annual operating and capital equipment budgets.
6. Works collaboratively with all practitioners and relative departments to run the schedule according to the defined standards.
7. Contributes to the creation and implementation of policies and procedures and ensures staff accountability and adherence.
8. Supports and maintains unit compliance with regulatory and professional standards
9. Develops and directs the orientation and staff education programs.
10. Actively participates in the annual performance evaluation process.
11. Evaluates high-risk and low-volume procedures to determine annual competencies
12. Works cooperatively with physicians and Director to develop service offerings and level of care.
13. Organizes training for new procedures and technologies.
14. Assures the smooth 24-hour delivery of quality patient care.
15. Hires, orients, continuously deve! lop, and evaluate staff. Manages staff engagement and continuously strives for improvement.
16. Works collaboratively with technologists on supply management
17. Utilizes leadership tools in communication, including effective oral, written, and listening skills with staff, physicians, patients and families.
18. Proactively develops quality indicators and quality improvements for the department.
19. Creates an environment conducive to professional staff growth to promote recruitment, retention, and quality patient care.
20. Promotes department cost effectiveness to achieve budget.
21. Establishes clear performance expectations for roles that differentiate levels of performance and hold staff accountable to those expectations.
22. Acts as practice change champion
23. Applies both nursing and management theories, procedures and standards to clinical practice.
24. Possess good analytical and problem solving skills.
25. Attends and partici! pates in nursing leadership meetings and activities
