Job Description:
The Office Specialist is responsible for scanning/filing documents into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) that are received from clinicians on the Tempe, West and Polytechnic campuses, including reports received for patients who! were referred to community physicians for specialty care and ! other medical records relating to patient care.

Essential Duties:

  • Prepare paperwork for scanning and e-filing
  • Answer high volume phone lines, retrieve phone messages
  • Assist with data entry of immunizations
  • Attend New Student Orientation to input/collect immunization data
  • Cross train in other departmental duties
Days and Schedule:
Monday â€" Friday, 8:00 am â€" 5:00 pm; with an occasional Saturday

Minimum Qualifications:
Three (3) years of office/clerical experience, which includes one (1) year in a directly related function; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience working with Next Gen software
  • Experience with scanning and e-filing a high volume of paperwork on a daily basis
  • Experience w! ith high volumes of data entry and phone calls
  • Experience performing tasks that require high attention to detail
Working Environment:
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Use computers effectively including inputting, reviewing and retrieving information, extended periods of viewing screen, and using mouse and keyboard
  • Work in an office setting and use office equipment (e.g. scanners, printers, copiers, fax machines, telephones)
  • Sit or stand for extended periods of time
