The Mercer GHSC team of clinicians assi! sts government organizations with identifying solutions that improve the access, quality, and cost effectiveness of publicly funded health care and social services. To fulfill this mission, we are looking for an experienced RN to:
Participate in project teams on various consulting projects, including:
Vendor selections for managed care organizations (MCOs), disease/health management firms or other health care vendors
Clinical performance evaluations of MCOs, disease/health management firms or other health care vendors
Performance based contracting strategies
Strategic planning, including designing policies, procedures, and organizational structures that align with clients' overall health strategy
Performance management initiatives to identify opportunities and/or implement initiatives to improve access and quality
Cost driver or other data analytics to identify opportunities for cost savings through utilization,! disease, or care management
Development of predictive models that identify the cost impact of program changes
Design and implement clinical studies
Briefing documents on a variety of topics
Lead project teams, including defining project scope, deliverables and timelines; initiating regular communication with client to review project status; managing project scope, budget and timelines and providing assistance to client teams to problem solve challenges;
Manage key client engagements to include overseeing multiple project teams to ensure the team is within budget, on time and producing work consistent with the scope of work and ensuring communication with client, project team and senior client leader. Program management responsibilities include identifying and securing resources, ensuring work is leverage to the right skill and career level, and providing team members opportunity to develop skills and expertise.
Particip! ate in sales activities including defining proposal strategy, leading t! he proposal process, developing cost proposals, conducting sales presentations, and identifying opportunities for expanded revenue with existing clients.
Be viewed by industry leaders and clients as expert on Medicaid behavioral health managed care programs, including clinical, financial, operational, regulatory issues.
Develop intellectual capitol, to include leading or participating in the development of tools or processes that can be leveraged for multiple clients.
Qualifications
BA/BS degree
Registered Nursing license required
Minimum seven years of managed care and or public sector experience in identifying, designing, recommending and implementing efficient, innovative business solutions to clients' complex health care benefits challenges
Medicaid experience preferred
Knowledge of health care pricing a plus
Superior analytical and strategic planning skills
Strong mathematical ski! lls and command of Excel a plus
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Ability to manage, motivate, and mentor more junior level staff
The ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a demanding work environment
Proven track record in leading large, complex projects
The ability to work independently as well as to lead and work collaboratively with all levels of professionals
