The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at University of Arizona Medical Center is a fast paced, high acuity unit providing post a! nesthesia care to a diverse patient population of all ages. We are privileged to care for patients undergoing procedures from over thirteen surgical specialties, including trauma and transplant.
Because we are an academic medical center, our PACU nurses have the opportunity to work with surgeons who are creating and implementing cutting edge surgical advances.
As a Magnet hospital, our nurses and support staff work in a supportive professional nursing environment with an emphasis on teamwork and professional development. Nurses in our PACU are critical care trained and are dedicated to providing the highest level of care to all patients, young and old alike.
Position Summary:
Provides basic age appropriate nursing care to patients, following accepted nursing practices, UAMC policies and procedures, and physician's prescriptions.
Required Qualifications:
Must be licensed to practice professional nursing in the state of Arizona.! Must have ability to work either day shift or night shift.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experienced PACU or ICU background.
Required Certifications:
BLS Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer card from the American Heart Association
ACLS
PALS
