Grand Canyon Universityâs Human Resources department is seeking a full time Data Entry Technician. This is an entry-level position which provides functional support to HR systems applications, projects and processes. This individual will assist in ensuring all HR Systems are maintained, updated, and the business needs of HR are met. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is interested in combining their technical savvy of databases with human resources operations.
Responsibilities:
Inputs data into HRIS system in accordance with HR and payroll processing schedules.
Reviews and approves online ! submissions through the HRIS System.
Handles escalate! d HR Service Center (HRSC) requests related to HR systems and researches a root cause and identifies a resolution on a timely basis.
Corrects HR records and database upon user requests and approval.
Participates in documenting repetitive or routine Service Center requests related to HR systems for HRSC staff to use in responding to calls and to provide training to HRSC staff.
Maintains and updates a variety of data tables within all HR systems and applications, and where necessary liaises and coordinates data table updates with other departments (payroll, finance, benefits, etc.) to ensure accuracy.
Assists in proposing and recommending processes and improvement to workflow.
Works with reports and executes various routine and ad-hoc reports from HR systems within specified deadlines.
Assists with scheduled systems processes such as benefits, compensation, leave programs, performance management, recruiting or others as as! signed.
Reviews and analyzes data from multiple systems to identify inaccuracies, inconsistencies, anomalies and makes recommendations for resolution.
Assists with projects related to HR systems and performs similar duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Associates Degree in Business, Human Resources, technology-related discipline or equivalent work experience preferred.
Minimum of 1 year related HR or HRIS experience with a working knowledge of HR Systems preferred.
A combination of education, training and relevant work experience may be substituted upon hiring managerâs approval.
A proficiency and technical ability in using computer and software systems including MS Office Suite with intermediate Excel skill required.
A talent for understanding the logic applied in database design in order to extract data for reports, audit information, recognize and correct errors, etc.
An underst! anding of human resources concepts, processes, laws and procedures is v! ery helpful.
Must be able to work independently or collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment.
Must be able to handle customer issues in a professional manner.
Be able to work under deadline pressure, cope well with changing priorities and effectively manage multiple projects.
Very well organized, have high attention to detail, logical problem solving skills and must be able to maintain the confidentiality of employee information.
