The Sarver Heart Center invites applicants for a Research Nurse to provide nursing care and assist in the coordination of clinic! al research projects by recruiting, interviewing and scheduling study participants. This position will work closely with the cardiology clinical faculty and their disease team on both ongoing and new developmental clinical research efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Recruitment and enrollment of participants for medical studies by interviewing potential participants and reviewing medical history to determine if eligibility requirements are met.
- Explain project to participant and enroll them into the study.
- Schedule and/or perform medical testing such as drawing blood, taking blood pressure reading, performing EKGs, etc.
- Assesses participants during clinic visit, determining if patient is experiencing side effects or other problems; ! notifies principal investigator if problems arise.
- In! ventories and requisitions supplies and equipment; arranges for repair and maintenance of equipment.
- Completes case report forms for each study participant and documents medical data in the patient record.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing from a State Board of Nursing approved school of nursing; OR, Associate's degree or diploma in Nursing from a State Board of Nursing approved school of nursing AND two years of professional nursing experience; AND currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona OR, possesses a temporary license from the Arizona State Board of Nursing to practice as a Registered Nurse; permanent license from the Arizona State Board of Nursing required within four (4) months of employment; OR, any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.

- Cardiology nurs! ing experience (knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of nursing care).
- Clinical research experience.
- Skill in maintaining detailed records.
- Ability to effectively communicate.
- CITI training.
