Incumbent will perform the duties of a Health Technician for the Employee Health/Outpatient Department. Incumbent will provide care to patients, prepare charts, and assist in preparation of patient admission or transport. This poisiton is located with the Outpatient Department, Division of Nursing Services, Chinle Indian Health Service, C! hinle, AZ.

Provide care to assigned patients under the direction of the provider, checks in patients; prepares charts; provides basic care to patients with a variety of conditions.
Performs less complex dressing and treatment without assistance; assists with cleaning, irrigating, and dressing complex wounds; performs skin care measures; sterile dressing changes under established protocols.
Assists provider in examination of patients by explaining procedures, positioning, draping and assembling instructions and supplies. Maintains courteous and professional manner when in contact with patients, family and other internal and external customers.
Provides vaccinations to! employees and community members, e.g., seasonal influenza, Hepatitis A and B, Tuberculin PPD's and other vaccinations; Designs presentations for hospital orientation by establishing power point slides, designs hand-outs and instructional material. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
GS-05 : Candidates must have completed 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 level.
GS-06 : Candidates must have completed 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level.
GS-07 : Candidates must have completed 52 weeks of specialized ex! perience equivalent to the GS-06 level.
Your resume must demons! trate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following types of tasks:
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE:
GS-05: Successful completion of a full 4 year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree, with a major study or at least 24 semester hours in subjects related directly to the position.
GS-06, GS-07: not applicable.
Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
